Our first Euro blog!

Hallo from Holland!

(We've decided to write this blog together so Chelle's text is in pink, and Andy's is blue!)

So we finally got to a computer! These first couple of weeks have been a bit hectic and we've only just got into the swing of things. After a lovely holiday in Jersey we spent the first couple of days driving through France to get to our first destination - Luxembourg. The drive really took it out of us, the second day we spent 11 hours on the road (mainly because we got lost...).

We were then able to spend a few days in Luxembourg, one of which we spent in the capital, and the others we just relaxed at the campsite (however this was hindered by the rain). We enevitably broke down for the first time as well, with a flat battery from listening to the radio too much, opps.... but its all sorted now.

After Luxembourg we travelled to the south of Holland to visit Maastrich and Aachen in Germany. We loved Aachen so much. It is so pretty with a massive cathedral, cobbled streets and quirky fountains. Our campsite for those two days was amazing as well; we had a view over a valley and it even had echoing cows!!

After that we moved on to Belgium, first staying in Brussels then in Brugge. Brussels wasn't as great as we had hoped, too urban and overcrowded, however the Grand Place (the touristy bit) was very nice and filled with huge and ornate old buildings. We only managed to have one day looking around Brugge, but could have easily spent far more time there. It may have been filled with tourists, but the medival town and horse and traps going by made it a really lovely day. (George you would have loved the horses!)

So now we have arrived back in Holland, but this time for a little while longer. We are currently near Den Hagg and are going to Amsterdam for 5 days on Monday woo! We can't wait. I must go and find the Black Tiger bar again and have some awesome cocktails =)

Hopefully we'll be able to update you again in a week or so and we'll try and post some photo's as soon as we get them off Chelle's camera.
